These goals align with the European Union’s ambitious Ocean Mission objectives.
Funded by nearly 9.5 million euros in European funds, the PHAROS project aligns with the European Union’s Ocean Mission. This mission focuses on protecting and restoring marine ecosystems and biodiversity, eliminating pollution, and achieving a sustainable, carbon-neutral, and circular blue economy by 2030.[/vc_column_text][eut_divider][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][eut_single_image image=”8391″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row bg_type=”color” padding_top=”50″ padding_bottom=”40″ margin_bottom=”0″ bg_color=”#edf3f7″][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1722497303324{border-top-width: 5px !important;border-left-width: 5px !important;padding-right: 5px !important;padding-bottom: 5px !important;border-left-color: #41c1ba !important;border-top-color: #41c1ba !important;border-radius: 5px !important;}”][eut_title title=”Key Initiatives and Partnerships” heading=”h4″ line_type=”line” margin_bottom=”24″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1722267590794{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}”]

These objectives include:
- Protecting and restoring marine ecosystems and biodiversity
- Preventing and eliminating pollution of our ocean
- Making the sustainable blue economy carbon-neutral and circular
To achieve these goals, the EU Mission Implementation Plan is divided into two phases:
- Phase 1: Development and piloting by 2025
- Phase 2: Deployment and upscaling from 2026-2030
PHAROS serves as a crucial bridge between these two phases, ensuring continuous progress towards these ambitious targets.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row heading_color=”dark” bg_type=”color” padding_top=”120″ padding_bottom=”70″ margin_bottom=”0″][vc_column width=”1/5″ tablet_sm_width=”1″][vc_empty_space height=”95px”][eut_icon_box icon_library=”entypo” icon_entypo=”entypo-icon entypo-icon-fast-forward” title=”PHAROS DEMO” heading=”h5″ animation=”fadeInUp” animation_delay=”300″][/eut_icon_box][/vc_column][vc_column width=”4/5″][eut_title title=”PHAROS will implement four demonstrations (demos) in the Atlantic and Arctic basins, showcasing innovative Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for ecosystem restoration:” heading=”h4″ line_type=”line” animation=”fadeInUp” animation_delay=”400″ margin_bottom=”30″][vc_tta_tour autoplay=”10″ active_section=”1″][vc_tta_section title=”Atlantic Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) Demo” tab_id=”1660818620043-ec12ef6f-d545″][vc_column_text]
