Stargate Hydrogen novel electrolyser (below image), will be used for showcasing the complete value chain of green hydrogen to be used at the local hospital.
Stargate is coordinating the planning and preparation activities as well as contributing to input to feasibility study, EIA, LCA, H&S, and definition and acquisition activities.
In addition, Stargate as a deep tech company offers to the consortium the insights into industry trends, challenges, and market demands contributing thus to the commercialisation of the project results.
Objective: Install 1 MW electrolyser and provide H2/O2 compression and storage equipment.
Production: At least 74 T/y of H2 (Purity >99.999%) and 630 kg/y of O2 (Purity 99.7%) with a capacity to scale up via stacking.
About Stargate: Stargate focuses on advanced alkaline electrolysers development and production and offers turn-key green hydrogen production solutions for large-scale customers like steelworks, chemical plants, utilities etc.
We believe that the price of green hydrogen is key for unlocking widespread industrial use and thereby significantly reducing emissions. We unlock the untapped potential of the proven alkaline technology by building upon its best aspects and complementing it with breakthrough Platinum Group Metals-free electrode materials, called Stardust. As a result of this, our technology can achieve high efficiency with very low capital cost of alkaline cells, stacks and systems and as an additional benefit, our products face no critical raw material availability issues.
Alongside the R&D and scale-up activities, we put strong focus on sustainability by complying with do no significant harm (DNSH) principles addressing thus the UN Sustainable Development Goals no 7: Affordable and Clean Energy; 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; and 13: Climate Action.
We are part of UG Investments group of companies. Investments of the group include Utilitas, the largest renewable energy developer in the Baltic Sea region. Our investors include the Co-founder and CEO of Skeleton Technologies, the leading ultracapacitor manufacturer in the world.
We are a member of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance (ECHA), Hydrogen Europe, Estonian Hydrogen Association, Latvian Hydrogen Association, EU Electrolyser Partnership, BotH₂nia-network, and belong to Hydrogen Technology IPCEI.
