WindEurope 2024

The Cluster Marítimo de Canarias (CMC) actively participated in WindEurope 2024, held from March 20 to 22 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. This premier European event on wind energy attracted over 12,000 professionals from more than 80 countries, featuring 500+ exhibitors and numerous conference sessions.

Representing the Canary Islands’ maritime sector, CMC highlighted the region’s strategic position and readiness to develop offshore wind energy projects.

During the event, CMC presented the H2Heat project, an initiative aiming to harness offshore wind energy to produce green hydrogen for sustainable heating solutions in Gran Canaria. Informational flyers were distributed to attendees, providing insights into the project’s objectives and progress.

WindEurope 2024 provided a platform for CMC and other stakeholders to connect with industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators, reinforcing the Canary Islands’ role in Europe’s offshore wind landscape.
