European Maritime Day

European Maritime Day 2025

This annual event highlights EU maritime policy and innovation, with a growing focus on green energy and hydrogen-powered vessels. It brings together ocean stakeholders, from scientists to policymakers.

Neodyne took centre stage at European Maritime Day (EMD) 2025, held in Cork from 21–23 May, hosting a dedicated H2Heat booth to showcase their integral role in the pioneering green hydrogen heating project for hospitals in the Canary Islands. As Europe’s flagship maritime and blue-economy event, EMD drew over 1,200 policymakers, innovators, industry leaders, and ocean stakeholders, making it an ideal platform to highlight H2Heat’s ambitious decarbonisation journey.

At the booth located in Cork City Hall, the Neodyne team demonstrated how they’re enabling offshore renewable energy to drive hydrogen production and distribution for hospital heating solutions. Attendees engaged with Neodyne experts about their work on designing electrical infrastructure and control systems, critical backbones of the H2Heat value chain, with live demos and project visuals underscoring their technical leadership.

European Maritime Day also launched important conversations around marine-energy integration and sustainable innovation. Neodyne participated in networking sessions at the EU stand, presenting H2Heat as a tangible example of renewable hydrogen applications within the blue economy. Stakeholders praised the project for its modular, scalable approach, particularly its successful integration of offshore wind power, electrolyser units, hydrogen storage, and combined heat and power systems.

Neodyne’s presence at EMD marked a strategic moment to elevate H2Heat’s profile within Europe’s maritime and energy innovation community. It reinforced the project’s potential to serve as a replicable model for other island regions aiming to combine renewable offshore resources with sustainable heating solutions. With new partnerships forged and interest sparked, Neodyne and the H2Heat consortium look forward to translating the momentum from EMD into accelerated deployment across Europe.
